Nickalas J. Huston, 77, of Dallas City, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.He was born on April 1, 1947, in Mount Pleasant, to Max and Norma Huston.Nick graduated from Mount Union High School and went on to attend Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant. He served in the United States Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in September 1974.From 1974 to 2016, Nick built a respected career as a General Manager for Mid County Feed & Grain, Ceres Grain Corp, Italgrani Green Bay Elevator, Colusa Elevator, and CGB. His leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on the industry and those he worked with.In 1989, Nick married Frankie Huston and together they made their home in Dallas City.He is survived by his wife, Frankie; son, Jason Huston (Melissa) of Ottumwa; daughter, Jami Carrico (Matthew) of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; stepson, Kyle Harris (Rae) of Lenexa, Kansas; and stepdaughter, Jessi Harris of Chicago, Illinois.
