Shirley Marie Manning, 88, of Longboat Key, Florida, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away June 23, 2024, in Florida.Shirley was born March 23, 1936, in Keokuk, the daughter of Dorothy Hoener Wemhoner and Walter (Pete) Wemhoner.Shirley graduated from Carthage High School, Carthage, Illinois, in 1954.In November of that year, she married Lawrence "Skeeter" Delozier of Carthage. They later divorced.In 1959, she moved to Chicago with her daughter Theresa. At that time, she began her 40-year career at Rand McNally. She was hired in a clerical position but quickly worked her way up to management in several departments. Shirley was highly respected and not only had unprecedented career success at Rand McNally, but it was where she enjoyed life changing personal success as well.
