Barbara Lynn Cole, affectionately known as "Dapoo" by her grandchildren and family, passed away at 6:17 PM, Thursday, June 27th, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Barb was born April 26, 1952, in Santa Barbara, California, the daughter of Jacob and Eileen Patricia (Dolan) Kutcher. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1970 and was the 1969 homecoming queen. She then went on to graduate from Robert Morris College in Carthage with a degree in business management. On June 16, 1973, she was united in marriage to Joe Cole at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Carthage. She enjoyed crafts and painting in 1990's. Together she and Joe owned and operated J & R Tire in Carthage. In 2006 she received her real estate brokers license and worked for Sharpe Real Estate and Brenda Young Real Estate. It was a career which she also very much enjoyed and excelled at.
Barb is survived by her husband, Joe, of Carthage; three sons, Jeff (Natalie) Cole of Carthage, Chris (Melinda)
